Points of Interest
A local favorite is Applestone Meat Co., a small whole animal butcher shop selling organic and grass-fed meats. They are open 24/7, so customers can stop by whenever works for them and purchase fresh cut meat from vending machines. Yes, vending machines! Although there is a Walk-Up Retail Window from 11-6.

All products come from locally sourced livestock raised without any added hormones or antibiotics—products for which you'd pay premium prices at a supermarket. Because the overhead on operating unmanned machines is significantly lower than that of a standard butcher shop, Applestone is able to keep prices down.  Visit their website for great recipes like Matty Matheson's Cote-de-Boueuf and Green Salad #Delish!

Locals and weekenders frequent the Stone Ridge Orchard and Davenport’s farm stand. Davenport Farms has a year-round farm stand and market offering a mix of homegrown produce, baked goods, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soup and salads.

And there is Stone Ridge Orchard where you can enjoy live music, cider tastings, NYS beers, wines and cocktails and wood-fired pizza and paninis. Winter hours Friday and Saturday Evenings from 5-9 PM and open 7 days a week May through October.
