Richard is a true New Yorker who understands that the shortest path to inner peace is through the Hudson Valley!  Richard comes to real estate after a long and successful career as a businessman and attorney.  After relocating to Kingston over a decade ago, he has seen the value in small town life, whether for a lifetime or just weekends.  He is now honored to work with Halter Associates Realty; the Hudson Valley’s leading independent real estate firm.

Richard was raised on Manhattan’s Upper East Side by an accomplished designer and an avid art collector which shaped his eye to recognize the properties that are the best fit for his clients.  He knows move-in-ready when he sees it but also sees the diamonds in the rough.  He can guide you to realizing your dream home.

While serving as an attorney, Richard was an estate planning and property transfer specialist and developed his approach to brokering real estate by helping his clients with the most important and personal decisions that they would ever make. Richard knows that the best advice and guidance comes only after listening to and understanding his clients’ wants and needs.

When he isn’t working, Richard loves to explore the Hudson Valley and all of its hidden treasures. He lives in Kingston and loves to garden with his pug, Fred and his Jack Russel, Hildy. Fred does all of the digging!
