When setting up your living room, it should be an environment that is your soothing comfort zone. This could mean a place to enjoy a sunlit room for the first coffee of the day and some quality "me-time." It could be a place to quietly meditate while basking in the serenity of water or mountain views. Late afternoon into the evening, it's the cozy gathering spot with family and friends to watch a movie or play games. Below are inspiring designs for cozy living found in one of our favorite design publications:  DWELL. Which is your favorite?

We LOVE this cozy living room with its copper-wrapped fireplace! A custom walnut-and-steel coffee table from Jobe Fabrications anchors the living room. Fenton and Fenton armchairs are paired with a Texas Leather Interiors sofa.

Here we have a stylish walnut cabinet that anchors the room and neatly serves as a library, media housing and storage. The wood tones are a warm counterpoint to the sexy butter-yellow sofa.

Have fun with it. Not only will you come home and get cozy, but you'll also smile while doing so. In this renovated midcentury, the living room’s fireplace has been powder-coated orange to complement the vintage furnishings. Photo by Kyle Johnson

Not only is this stunning living room the ultimate place to chillax, but the added perk of endless days of calm and comfort when you have water and mountain views is also pretty awesome. Photo by Nico Saieh

Sometimes it's all about the views. Sitting cross-legged sipping a cuppa Joe and gazing at the outdoor world of birds, bears, deer and weather is what living upstate NY is all about!

Now, if only you had the house of your dreams to create your cozy escape.
