If you’re a gardener who thought ahead and planted cool-season crops during the summer months, it’s time to reap the rewards. We associate autumn with pumpkins, corn, and other traditional Thanksgiving fare, but there’s so much more to falls' bounty. Right now, gardens are bursting with root vegetables and leafy greens that will add a delicious earthy flavor, not to mention tons of vitamins and antioxidants to your table. It’s time to harvest:

  • Beets, radishes, and turnips,
  • Bush beans and peas,
  • Broccoli and cauliflower,
  • Brussels Sprouts and cabbage,
  • Cilantro and basil,
  • Green onion and garlic Kale,
  • Spinach and greens,

If you didn’t spend any time in the garden this summer, don’t worry! You’ll find plenty of these fresh fall goodies at farmers' markets all over the Hudson Valley. You can find more information about our favorite farmers' markets HERE

Fall harvest time - Enjoy!   #CountryLiving
