Narrowsburg

Located 2.5 hours from NYC, the hamlet of Narrowsburg sits on a bend in the Delaware River between the Catskill Mountains and the Pocono Mountains. Thanks to an influx of new shops, restaurants (several are farm-to-table), and entertainment options, Narrowsburg is known by locals as the pioneer “hotspot” in Sullivan County—and it has a well-deserved reputation as one of the coolest getaways from NYC. Narrowsburg’s Main Street is chock full of hip boutiques, galleries, and eateries. This portion of the river is renowned for its water sports opportunities. Narrowsburg is the home of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), the Arts Council for Sullivan County, which offers art exhibitions, Big Eddy Film Festival, Riverfest, and concerts at the Tusten Theatre. A 2019 movie, Narrowsburg, was filmed extensively around the town. Those looking for a not-too-challenging hike with big rewards should head to the Tusten Mountain Trail, where a 1.5-ish mile loop trail offers some awesome views of the Delaware River
