We are thrilled to announce and welcome, Dorothea Marcus as the newest team member of Halter Associates Realty.
She joins our firm as an associate broker with over twelve years of real estate experience and is well versed in all aspects of the real estate industry. After living in NYC, Paris and East Hampton, NY, Dorothea has made her home in the Hudson Valley for the last 20 years.
She currently resides in Woodstock NY with her adopted Chinese son, is an artist and art collector, jazz lover, an avid swimmer, and a scrabble/crossword demon! Fluent in French, Dorothea belongs to a French-speaking group that meets weekly in Woodstock.
In her spare time, Dorothea is an active member of the community. She has served as President of the Irvington-on-Hudson Chamber of Commerce (during her tenure, a cherished memory is when Ava Gardner appeared at a movie premiere - see glam photo below!). She is the current President of the Woodstock Library, as well as a member of various local arts organizations.
In the past, Dorothea was communications chief for the national American Cancer Society and J. Walter Thompson Advertising. Today, she applies her outstanding client service and marketing skills to her real estate practice with a focus on helping city people visualize their life in the Catskills. Highly respected for her expertise, warm personality, and tenacious spirit – sellers admire her creative marketing, buyers appreciate her patience and negotiating skills.
Please join us in welcoming Dorothea with a shoutout on our Facebook page!
